Our Mission

Founded in June 2007, the Belfast Argentine Tango Society (BATS) is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting Argentine Tango. While individual efforts and independent teachers had previously hosted classes and workshops in Belfast, we recognized the need for a structured society to ensure consistent promotion of this beautiful dance.

We are a group of passionate tango enthusiasts who volunteer our time to organise classes, workshops, milongas (social dance evenings), and other tango-related events. Our mission is to foster a vibrant tango community in Belfast and share the joy of tango with everyone.
